Admissions FAQ

What are the first steps to enrollment?
  1. Complete our Kingdom Prep application.
  2. Complete the DPI Parental Choice application. Please note that the DPI Choice application is separate from the Kingdom Prep application.
  3. Send proof of residency to jesse.metzger@kplhs.org.

In the past, the following documentation has been accepted: WE Energies bill, paystub, wage statement or previous year tax statement. Kingdom Prep will be able to help determine all needed documentation to verify your Choice application. We’re looking to ensure that addresses match and that they fall within Milwaukee borders.

Once the first steps are complete and proof of residency is verified, our admissions team will review your application. Acceptance letters are sent out via email.

Once receiving an acceptance letter, a registration link will be sent via email. Complete the registration process and the annual fee payment of $100. This cost covers the user technology agreement waiver and transportation for off-campus field trips.

Kingdom Prep applications for incoming freshman/9th graders will be accepted between September 1st- July 15th.

Kingdom Prep applications from transfer students are accepted year-round. The recruitment team will work alongside the family to complete steps for acceptance.

Students are required to wear a Kingdom Prep t-shirt, polo, hoodie, or quarter zip, as well as brown or tan khaki pants. Any form of shoe is acceptable.

Please note: All new students are required to wear a plain white t-shirt and khaki pants. These students will have the opportunity to participate in the Rights of Passage to earn their colors, or the right to wear the Kingdom Prep apparel.

  • Every Fall and Spring, Kingdom Prep hosts an Open House. Families come to meet the teachers, tour the school, enjoy food samples from our Taste of Kingdom Prep and learn about our programs. The next upcoming Open House is Wednesday, Nov. 6th, 2024, 4:30pm- 6:30pm.
  • During the school year, Kingdom Prep has interactive shadow opportunities for prospective students every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. 7th or 8th grade students are paired with a current Kingdom Prep student for the day.
  • Otherwise, feel free to stop in the office to grab some brochures. Contact shelton.daniels@kplhs.org to set up an appointment or tour.

No, Kingdom Prep is an in-person experience fostered to build brotherhood and positive relationships throughout the community in which we serve.

All incoming freshman/9th graders are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Once we receive confirmation and commitment from 80 young men, there will be a waiting list.

All incoming transfer students’ acceptance is conditional upon a few factors:

  1. Students and family must complete an interview/tour with a recruitment or administrative team member.
  2. Students must provide the most recent school record report, including transcripts and behavior records. Kingdom Prep will review the documents and make a decision.
  3. Students must meet semester deadlines in order to be eligible for transfer.
