Sitting in a classroom isn’t the only way to learn about the world.
At Kingdom Prep, we prepare our students for life after high school. Our Exploration Thursday program encourages students to learn about companies, career opportunities, and potential post-secondary paths. Every Thursday, we take the afternoon to explore a concept, individual, or place of business in the Milwaukee metro area to spark our students’ interests and inspiration. The goal of Exploration Thursday is to expose our young men to experiences beyond the block that they grew up on.
This program was modeled off of education pioneer Marva Collins in Chicago, and Discover America trips from St. Marcus, Milwaukee.
We teach life, not just academics. Over the past three years, more than 70 companies and organizations visited for Exploration Thursdays. Included among those visited this year:
- American Family Field/Milwaukee Brewers
